Torghast explained

There are a lot of terms about Torghast and how it works. After having a chat with a friend to understand the system I came up with a simple way to understand it using the Mythic+ terminology.

Wing = Dungeon

Layer = Keystone level

Floor = The levels of the Layer to progress through (completing all Floors unlocks the next Layer)

There are 6 different Wings (read as: "Dungeons"), and only 2 are active per week and they rotate weekly.

After selecting your Wing then you select the Layer (which is the difficulty) which ranges from 1 to 8, with 8 being the most difficult. Note that you can only select a Layer that you've already completed (e.g. just like Keystones you can't get your +7 key without first successfully doing your +6).

Now with your Wing and Layer selected, you can start your run: which places you onto the first Floor (there are 6 Floors total). You progress through each Floor to take a portal at the end which takes you to the next Floor.

Details about the Floors:

Each Floor contains a Boss at the end of the Floor that you must defeat to move on.

The 3rd floor is a Break Room (where you're safe) and also offers a vendor to buy upgrades

The 6th (and last Floor) is a Boss Room that contains a powerful boss to kill.
