Kill 4 Rares Vale / Uldum daily - We need a faster respawn on these mobs or for this to not be a daily.

    Posted: 17 Jan 2020 07:46 AM PST

I expect dailies to be fairly painless. This kill 4 rares daily in the new corrupted areas is not that, even with the help of mods to help locate said rares I am spending far too much time circling the zone(s) trying to find one that is up.

Bottom line I shouldn't be spending an hour on one daily. At least not 50 minutes of said daily just looking for a spawn.

Not to sound petty, but the Vulpera 'Make Camp' racial shouldn't really be a racial. It'd be a super cool feature to any character. In my view, there ought to be a 'World Skills' talent tree where you can pick some nifty survival skills which have nothing to do with race or culture.

Character customisation is always good. Some characters might be themed around world content, or PvP, or PvE, or professions, or what have you. It'd make sense to be able to select a few cool abilities which make your life a bit easier depending on your preferred playstyle.

Being able to place a tent anywhere, for example, would make a great such ability.

If you log out inside your Vulpera camp you get rest bonus. Neat.

After waiting for what feels like an eternity, I realized the cloak wasn't going to proc... Why Blizz? I'm brokenhearted.

Whats with these badly designed daily quests? What was the point of PTR?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2020 01:34 PM PST

You'd think you would finish your dailies in about 20-30 min or so but i've spent over TWO hours trying to finish this god damn kill 4 rares quest.. Its not just the rare quest but there are quests where you have to kill bunch of mobs that dont have a big respawn rate nor 100% drop rate.

What is this? Classic? I thought we left that shit behind us a long time ago..

Adding this terrible thing I made earlier to the pile! (sorry if this is too similar to something already done)

Are we gonna talk about how annoying the new dailies are on high pop servers? (specifically single use quest items like the obelisks or the cages)

    Posted: 17 Jan 2020 11:01 AM PST

I play on Area 52, one of the most, if not THE most populated NA servers (and no, I can't "just switch servers" because I know someone is gonna bring that up, my friends and guild are all here), and prior to 8.3 I have had major issues related to population exactly 0 times, minor stuff here and there sure, but nothing like this.

To get to the point, as many of you will have seen by now, most of the "pick up X of Y" or "destroy X of Y" quests in the assault areas are pretty basic quests that we're used to by now, which would be fine, except for one design choice which I just can't wrap my head around. These quest items are all limited to a SINGLE click by a SINGLE player, and yet the placement and spawn rates of them seems designed for 5, maybe 10 players to be in the entire zone clicking these things at any given time. Even at times where the quest is doable from a population standpoint, its unnecessarily frustrating because of how often you're casting the destroy thing or the collection cast when someone else flew up and clicked it .05 sec before you did and gets credit making your cast fail.

Last night for example, when dailies got reset by the server issues, the vale was flooded with people doing the "save 6 pandas" quest in vale, which would be fine, except the shard I was on had literally 100 or more players in one (half) zone, going for the same objective, which only one person could get at a time. The quest was so bad and so unfeasible to complete by actually flying around and finding them that people resorted to literally picking one spawn point and camping it until it respawned 6 times.

Why would they backpedal so much on most other bfa content where either A: clicking a quest item doesn't make it disappear for other players, B: there is enough spawn points to not be an issue, or C: a large number of people doing the quest accelerates respawn rates. I honestly don't understand why they decided: hey were gonna funnel the entire player base into a zone smaller than mechagon and make quest items single use with average or below average spawn rates. And none of this even goes to mention the absolute joke that is the Writs of the Sun King quest, or the Kill 4 Rares quests in Uldum.

This issue wasn't really present on PTR due to much lower populations, but its a pretty basic issue to be having at this point in a 15 year old game that I thought we had figured out by now.

    /end rant

Why are we going back to killing multiple mobs to get one quest drop? I really hope it's not why I think it is.

    Posted: 17 Jan 2020 08:26 PM PST

Blizzard, come on. The only reason they are doing this is to try and prolong how long you are spending time doing the quests. This is just disgusting because it doesn't exist for any other reason. There is no gameplay value or anything exciting about it.

Quests are like this in Classic, and that's fine because it's classic. LEAVE IT THERE. If I wanted to kill 40 mobs to get 6 quest items, I would go and play classic.

As being obsessed with old gods, I found my new wallpaper from 8.3 patch & wanted to share.

It's been awesome to see older zones through a new lens in BfA. Places like Uldum and the Vale barely scratch the surface when it comes to the potential of the "Old World" and I can't wait to see where Blizzard takes us back to next.
