Vulpera Shaman ghost wolf form should have been a ghost fox

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 07:02 PM PST

Like... Why not. In fairly certain that even the model exists, already. There's probably a ghost fox battle pet, or some used in questing in Legion.

Just... Why not. Why does it have to be a ghost wolf for the Vulpera? Vulpera probably haven't even seen a wolf like that. Hyena yeah. But not wolf.

Their Shamans would have modeled their magic on what they knew.

WARNING: Items listed in the AH and sold auctions are being lost

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:39 PM PST

I lost about 20k gold (that I'm aware of) before realising that a giant portion of my stacks were being lost in the auction house. Yesterday I listed around 1000+ Tempered Plating but only ~600 of it were sold and mailed to me. I chalked that up to misremembering the amount I listed and moved on.

Today, however, I crafted exactly 354 Bil'Tongs. I used 10 of them to turn in the Nazjatar Work Order quest, leaving me with 344, which I listed on the AH. I log back in some time later and some were sold; great. The servers go down and I come back to a total of 39 left but I only receive gold for 130 of them. I check the AH and none of them were listed, so I thought that perhaps they were in transit in the mail. So I log out but not before cancelling the 39 still up and transferring them to a different toon and relisting them. I come back ~1 hour later only to see that the 39 I've listed on my second toon are no longer listed (not even under sold auctions) but I have no mail for them. I check on my first toon and there is no mail for the gold from the ~170 Bil'Tons that were sold, nor any listings on the AH. Then I log off and relog 2 hours later to find neither toons have pending mail from the AH or listings for the items - they simply vanished.

I opened a ticket for the missing items but just a heads up that the AH seems to be eating items and it may or may not be related to the crashes.

This seems to be a problem for others as well:

What are Tips and Tricks for horrific visions?

    Posted: 17 Jan 2020 01:48 AM PST

    Hello there dear community,

I wanted to share my thoughts on Horrific visions so far and would like to know what other Tips and tricks you guys can give to make these runs \ objectives more clear to other people.

First off: Killing the Endboss is mandatory if you want to upgrade you cloak!

I went in with several characters in smaller groups (2 to 3 people) and found that if we pull him with around 40% sanity left we can kill him without getting into trouble for running out of sanity. Notable here is that we had average 30k DPS per person.

    Other notable things:

Don't worry about extra sections to clear on your first run, since you will need the first tier in Titan research to solid get further sections cleared! You can always min max your amount of corrupted mementos (the stuff you need to actually research stuff) by doing as much trash as possible.

Once you have your first run successfully completed you should get that first tier in titanic research in order to have access to the three sanity restoration orbs.

This gives you an extra button to place an orb, which will restore all sanity over the course of a few seconds. These take a bit time to cast and cannot be cast in combat, so make sure you have enough sanity before making a pull!

With access to the sanity-restoration orbs, depending on your DPS, you should start to clear another section since every trash pack gives you more corrupted mementos as end of run reward it'll get easier to get research points, which makes it easier to do the horrific vision runs.

Clearing extra section will enhance the endboss with their abilities, so prepare for a bit tougher fight if you do clear multiple extra sections.

The boss on the right section will have 2 notable abilities: He will channel an absorb shield on himself which you need to DPS down, otherwise it will explode and decrease your sanity With the other ability he will lock direction onto a player and will spray void stuff in a cone, be sure to move out of that.

The boss to the left section will cast "hopelessness", which will silence you for 10 seconds, unavoidable (didn't test LoS ) and you can get un-silenced if you collect a golden orb which will spawn on the ground.

That's so far from my experience. Clearing extra sections will give you a lot of corrupted mementos, with which you can further bolster your titanic research.

Now it's your turn! What are your experiences and tips or tricks?

There currently five prominent bugs that will cause you to fail visions that are not being compensated

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 11:28 PM PST

Just a heads up and you might want to wait for them to be addressed. Currently CS is telling players they will not be reimbursed for visions failed because of bugs outside of their control.

    • When in a party or synced, sometimes only the party leader completes the vision
    • Moving too fast as a havoc DH can cause a disconnect from using fel rush
    • Leap abilities, fears and several spots in a vision can cause you to fall through the world and die, failing a vision
    • Sometimes when entering a vision you immediately fail and are removed from the vision
    • If you party sync and run a vision with a friend during the introductory quest (into the darkness), a vessel is removed from your inventory with no warning and you fail the vision.

Also if you have connection issues while in a vision or if a server restart happens while in a vision, you fail and lose your vessel.

Edit: Also there are a few (presumed) bugs were players are not getting the correct loot.

    Also ... "there're"

    Edit edity:

    • the transition effect that appears when you load into the vision will sometimes not go away
    • Thrall will sometime use abilities and disappear mid fight. You fail the vision

Other than essences, 8.3 is the most alt friendly patch in BFA so far. It just doesn't seem that way because the introduction quest is front-loaded.

    Posted: 16 Jan 2020 10:41 PM PST

The biggest reason imo people complain about alts is because of the introduction questline, which seems way longer than the nazjatar one... because it's not time gated, something we've been asking for months. However even still, after doing it once on your main character, there's not many "filler" thing you're doing anyway on alts.

    1. Ulduum assault (Content you're doing anyway)
    2. HoO scenario (Skippable on alts)
    3. Vale Assault (Content you're doing anyway)
    4. Vale Scenario (Skippable on alts)
    5. Blackwing Scenario (sadly unable to be skipped, but takes like 10-20min max once per character)
    6. Daily visions (content you're doing anyway)
    7. Horrific Vision (content you're doing anyway)

I wonder if you can see a pattern.

Once you get the introduction questline done, it gets even EASIER to maintain your alts. The assaults that happen 3x a week? (1 nzoth 2 lesser), you have DAYS to complete them. 1 week for the nzoth assault and 3.5 days each for the lesser ones, however as long as you don't play at 3am you'll find plenty of being flying around doing some of the objectives which fill anywhere from 10 to 25% of your bar, which is nuts considering it's multi-day content.

The daily visions? All you have to do is them once a day, and today's quest took FIFTEEN SECONDS. my 340 affliction warlock walked in and finished the quest in not even a minute.

From just doing assaults + Daily visions, you get 2.9 runs per week. That means, in SEVEN days, you just need a measly 1K coalescing visions per alt. That 1K is easily gained from doing the assaults/visions themselves, and at worst case scenario you will need to farm a couple hundred visions each week.... that's like 6 daily quests... per week.

None of the rares are needed to do as they don't give rep or anything like pearls in nazjatar as well. Horrific visions? Even if you play 20H a day, there's a cape level cap and you can't get ahead anyways.

It's astounding to me how easy it is to maintain an alt this patch, and yet every hour I'm reading long complaint threads on reddit, forums, trade chat, etc. I logged in this morning, and 20 minutes later I was done with 4 of my alts.
