- I drew a portrait of Sire Denathrius!
- If SL is delayed, thats ok, just let us know please!
- Me IRL waiting for pre-patch to come out.
- Want your pre-patch transition to be smooth? Help your AddOn authors test their 9.0 updates on the PTR/Beta!
- i still don't get why blizz thought removing the glow effect from nightborne eyes especially was better, as if they don't already look like crap. i feel like my nightborne looks soulless and dead now, it was so beautiful before. also r/wow please allow us to upload more than 1 image in a post, ty
- A character drawing I did for a client, thought it would be ok to post it here!

Small & useful AddOns you might not know about Posted: 30 Sep 2020 11:55 PM PDT Hello, I want to share some of the smaller and lesser known AddOns that I collected over the years. Please feel free to comment AddOns below that I have not listed, I will add them. 1) Adventure Guide Lockouts https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/adventure-guide-lockouts This adds instance lockout information to your adventure guide. When you open it and look through old raids for example you see if you cleared the raid this week already. 2) Better Wardrobe and Transmog https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/better-wardrobe-and-transmog Increases the transmog and wardrobe window, adds filter options and lets you transmog sets that you have not fully collected. There are a bunch of options to this where you can finetune the filters and so on. 3) BtWQuests https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/btw-quests Adds a window to your game that you can open via a minimap button that displays all the quests in the game in tree/branch display. You can see which quests you have done in an area and which you are missing and the addon guides you to the missing quest to start it. This is very handy to finish zones and complete old quests where you don't know when you abandoned it. 4) BuyEmAll BfA https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/buyemall Adds the option to buy more of a single item in one go then wow allows you to. For example, if you want to buy cooking supplies you are usually capped at 5/20/200 items. This addon lets you buy 400 with 1 interaction. 5) DialogKey https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/dialogkey This is my favourite "small" AddOn of all time. It adds keybindings (1-9) to dialogs. When you interact with an NPC who for example has two dialog options, vendor items and talk, you can interact with him by pressing the numbers 1 and 2 on your keyboard. These keybindings are only active as long as you have the dialog window with the NPC open. By using this you don't have to move your mouse over to his window, click on vendor, move the mouse back to your bag and sell items, you can just hit 1 on your keyboard. I highly recommend this :) 6) Extended Vendor UI https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/extended-vendor-ui This increases the size of the vendor window when you talk to an NPC who has a vendor option. Remarkably simple, very handy to have less pages, especially on raid gear traders of old raids. 7) Fash Taskbar https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/flash-taskbar This addon makes your wow icon on your taskbar blink when something happens in game while the wow window ins not in focus. This helps you not miss ready checks, pull timers, summons and combat rezz while you browse reddit. (This feature might be part of wow already and the AddOn might be unnecessary, see comments) 8) Transmog Tokens https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/transmogtokens This addon ads a small information to tooltips of old transmog tokens which helps you find the vendor where you can exchange the token. It also tells you how many of the set items you already have of the set this token belongs to. 9) Minimap Button Bar https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/mbb This addon collects all your minimap buttons into a single one, by clicking on it you can see all your buttons again! 10) AutoLootPlus https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/auto-loot-plus Faster looting. This very small AddOn speeds up the looting process significantly. The feature is also part of other addons like ElvUI or LeatrixPlus but if you want it as a stand alone, here it is. 11) OPIE https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/opie Need more action bar space? Here you go - OPie. This AddOn lets you have hidden additional action bars that you can unhide by pressing or holding a button you define on your keyboard. The concept is a bit hard to explain, have a look at the screenshots on curseforge :) 12) Leatrix Plus https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/leatrix-plus One small AddOn with a lot of functions including faster looting, auto repairs, auto quest pickup and hand-in, sell junk, release in pvp and much, much more. 13) Improved Loot Frame https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/improved-loot-frame Makes the loot frame longer so most loot fits on one window. 14) Dungeon Finder Bang https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/dungeon-finder-bang Makes a "hallelujah" sound when your dungeon queue pops, if you'd rather have a noise instead of the task bar flashing 15) Easy Delete https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/easy-delete Types the word delete for you in the item deletion dialogue. I hope this information helps you but keep in mind that these AddOns might not work in the future because they become discontinued. Have a great day! :) [link] [comments]

The way Blizzard is handling Chromie Time is killing my pre-patch hype. Posted: 30 Sep 2020 11:34 AM PDT There is a MAJOR issue with how Blizzard is implementing Chromie Time in the pre-patch. This thread on the forums provides a perfect analysis of it. But the basic gist of it is that once you hit level 50 in Chromie Time, no matter what you're doing, you'll be teleported to your factions capital and level scaling will go back to normal. Were you in the middle of the zone's climax? Too bad, back to Orgrimmar with you. It's obvious the idea behind this is that they don't want people leveling past 50 anywhere but the Shadowlands and no one in the thread disagrees with that but people also want to at least finish the questline without just dunking on all the mobs that are suddenly 20 levels lower than you. The common suggestion is just to automatically turn off XP gain in Chromie Time after hitting level 50 so people can still finish up whatever questlines they want to until they're ready to move onto Shadowlands. The thread was made in August and it is the most viewed, liked and replied to thread on the PTR Feedback forum yet they have done nothing to address this glaring problem. In fact Blizz seems to be directly spitting in the face of these people because people were trying to use a workaround where they went back to Org/SW to turn speak to the NPC that turns off their exp gain but then an update came where if you have XP gain turned off you can't enable Chromie Time. WHY?!?!?!?! What is even the point of Chromie Time if we can't experience the expansions as intended like advertised? —- EDIT: Removed a paragraph that wasn't very relevant to the subject. Posted: 30 Sep 2020 04:42 PM PDT Help your developers look for transition issues with the patch, so they can have a chance to fix any issues before they cause real damage during the actual patch. Copy your live server Saved Variables over to replace the ones on the PTR or Beta, then test and make sure your addons transition smoothly with your existing data. You can find your Saved Variables in your WoW installation folder, under So, for me, for example: Then, install the beta versions of your addons. Look around for where your addon author has betas up for testing. Maybe they have them on curseforge. Maybe they have a Github project. Maybe they have their own website with a section for their betas. Once you're in-game, spend some time doing your usual thing. Use the parts of your addons you would normally use, to check that they still work the way you expect. The AddOn I'm developing, Altoholic, has its 9.0.1 beta available here. Its been up for a couple of months, but so far only one user has actually reported any issues with it. [link] [comments]
