An Update on Shadowlands - WoW

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 01:35 PM PDT

It’s okay to be upset about Shadowlands being delayed, just don’t complain to Blizzard for making the right decision.

    Posted: 01 Oct 2020 02:08 PM PDT

Like the title says, I think this was the best option for Blizz to take right now because the state of the game on beta is not ready to be released. That being said, I too am frustrated that the game won't be coming out on time. I took time off work, made plans with friends, etc... But ultimately Blizzard made the right call and us complaining, making forum posts, bashing Blizz and the devs will only encourage them to rush the game and not put out the best product possible. Instead, let's be supportive and happy that they truly seem to want to make this game as good as possible for us to play on release so we don't get a BFA 2.0.

TL;DR You can be upset about the delay, but being negative and complaining will only make things worse instead of better.

Edit: Hey guys! First of all let me rephrase some stuff because I understand why some people in the comments are (rightfully) upset.

    1. I didn't mean to say that you can't be mad or upset, you absolutely can and should be mad that they set a date and then went ahead and chose not to stick to that date, especially if you can't reschedule your time off.

      1. What I meant for the message of this post to be was to not go on the WoW forums and spew hatred at the devs. Yes they messed it all up in the first place. Yes they went back on their release date. But going and telling the dev team that they suck and you hate them only reduces morale. It's not like they wanted to delay the game because they wanted to see us all get mad.
      2. I truly believe that this extra development time will make the game better. It might not fix covenants/conduits because the system is inherently broken and no one really wants borrowed power anymore, but the things that they can change and improve on like class balance, covenant ability balance, etc have a greater chance of improving before launch than before.

That's all I have to say folks, sorry if I was confusing in my original post. At the end of the day we're all a community and all opinions matter even if they differ from your own from RP'ers to Mythic Raiders. Let's all hope that the team can create a product that we can all play and enjoy in whatever way you prefer!

Pre-Patch isn’t delayed. Level an alt. You’ll actually have time to do it now.

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 04:51 AM PDT

There's been many comments over the last few months where people claim that they like the new leveling revamp, by they won't have time to experience because they need to zerg to max level as fast as possible to stay competitive.

Usually the expansion is breathing down our necks after pre-path and many people can't make the time to try out new low level features. But now you have time to do so. And with the pre-patch's increased leveling speed, shadowlands talents/abilities, and the eventual four entirely different max level experiences approaching via covenants, now is the perfect time to raise at least 2-4 alts up.

Get that heritage armor, get the new low-fantasy transmog from Exile's Reach, level up 4 warriors for each covenant if you can't decide on one, idc. The point is we finally have plenty of time to experience parts of the expansion that many people usually cannot thoroughly explore due to the pressure to rush to max level and prepare for the new raid tier.
