Farewell Andrew Banner Recently there has been confusion over what the Farewell Andrew banner means. Last month the long time head mod /u/aphoenix announced he was going to step down. Aphoenix is best known for working to resolve the subreddits closure during Warlords of Draenor when the previous top mod made the subreddit private. The creator of the banner, /u/vusys, wanted to make it more personal for Aphoenix by using his first name and in doing so led many to believe a member of the community had passed away. The banner is actually based on his user flair which is itself a play on his username A Phoenix. The contrail of Maple Leaves refer to his Canadian heritage. Blizzard, can we please get a quest skip for Escape from the Maw? Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:23 PM PST In the first week of the expansion I sent my main through to get to 60, and then an alt through so I could start mining for my main, and another alt through because of a misconception I had about alts and covenants. And in the next couple weeks I sent 2 more through. Last week I sent 1 more through. Today I tried to bring one more alt across, and I stopped after getting to the cave with Jaina. I understand the roleplay aspects of why we need to go through this first step, but honestly it's one of the biggest slogs I've ever gone through. It's a singular questline on a rail, that takes way too long. And sure we've come across things like this before, but enough is enough. We need to have the ability to skip the questline and cut straight to Oribos to make our Fate decision. I just can't send my other 10+ alts through the Maw because of this quest line. It's just such a mind-numbing process that takes the fun out of the game to the point where I don't even want to switch to a "playable" character for an hour or so after I've given up on the Escape from the Maw slog. submitted by /u/Paranitis [link] [comments]
