    That's murloc for "Welcome to Murloc Mondays" - where people can ask any type of question about WoW without getting strangled by a Death Knight.
    Questions can range from what's new in Battle for Azeroth, what class is OP, and how many Demons will it take to down Thrall?
    Questions can come from brand new players, players returning, or veteran players who never got a chance to ask the right question. Afraid of not getting an answer? Rest assured, we know that at least 90% of questions get answered!

    It's been 1.5 years now with having cooldowns on GCD. Do you think it feels better or worse?

    For clarification: Before BFA abilities like Avenging Wrath was not on the global cooldown and could be macroed. BFA introduced that most (if not all?) major class cooldowns should be affected by the gloobal cool down.

    Honestly, this is just bad game design. Recruiting troops should never be RNG-based.

    "Don't worry guys, they'll fix all the bugs in this place soon! It's only 8.3!" I have tried to f$#@ing chest this place ALL week on a +10. EVERY run we've had mobs pull through walls, keep us in combat, and prevent us from entering the visions. I am LIVID that they haven't fixed this shit.

    So, I've mained Warlock since Vanilla, it wasn't my first 60, but it was the one I switched to and felt something click. I think the extra utility of commanding a pet made the game feel more dynamic, and I'm sure being and overpowered 1 v 1 machine helped too...

    Well, I just realized that BFA was the first expansion where I could no longer really enjoy the class. And if I had to identify what things changed to make it feel so wrong, I wouldn't exactly be sure... There are so many things to consider...

    I know a lot of classes had undergone changes, but I guess I'll list what individual things about the Warlock class was ruined for me specifically in BFA.

    Butchering of Demonology... twice

    So this may not be a BFA thing, but BFA was definitely the final straw for me. MoP-WoD demonology was weird, but the way Metamorphosis was implemented made it such a unique spec. It was the only "Devil May Cry-like" spec where you were constantly filling a resource that you could use at will that your second form drained, but waiting until you had more let you stay in the powerful form longer.

    Legion took the ability away because "Demon Hunters", and created a new Demonology spec. At first I was annoyed but I actually fell in love with it. It was easily my favorite spec because the interaction between "Demon Wrath", Soul Shards generation, ability to spawn imps and your artifact ability was so interesting. You create situations where you could generate insane situational burst, or just output steady damage. It felt so fluid...

    I know a lot of people love BFA demonology for PvE, but to me the spec feels bloated and unpleasant to play.

    Every spec now has a DPS Cooldown

    This was another thing that was unfortunate to me. Come BFA, Infernal was no longer a spell for everyone, and every spec of Warlock received its own 2 minute DPS cooldown demon. These spells suddenly turned warlocks into yet another class with a "2 minute DPS Burst cooldown" ability...

    I've always felt that Warlocks were one of the few classes that remained in the "set up the kill condition" scenario, and come BFA we immediately were put into this category where so many classes went in the last 10 years, specifically play-styles I've attempted to avoid. Its honestly one of the most annoying parts of the game for me, how ever class has a "Okay I do big damage now" form that lasts from 15 - 30 seconds every 2 - 4 minutes. It is not enjoyable because it makes most classes only dangerous in specifically these moments and almost ignorable...

    Destruction is fucking boring

    You know, I don't mind having an expansion where Destruction warlocks are actually good, but having it be THE ONLY good damage spec has also made the class feel boring.

    Yes I agree, in PvP Destruction is really fucking good, I know that, but its one of the few classes where winning doesn't feel good. Winning as a Destruction warlock feels more like "I am no longer annoyed" as opposed to "holy shit, we won" that you get with most classes. Being a human turret whose entire purpose is to sit still, bait interrupts with Fear and Shadowfury, to shoot off a single spell is not fun...

    Class Damage revolves around a single spell

    I feel like this is an issue for every class... But I feel like the effects of this are most noticeable for Warlocks. Unstable Affliction is your primary source of threatening damage, Chaos Bolt is the only thing that matters, Demonology is awkward and it seems like only Demonic Tyrant is worth running away from...

    Every class does no damage. Frostbolts are laughable. Fireball is ignorable, Crusader Strike is meaningless. Backstab does less than 1% of someone's HP...

    So... does anyone else feel like a specific set of changes made them not enjoy their main class?

    I think there is a smart way to make essence kinda account-wide without make it look granted from the sky.

    All Essence have a rank 1 step to complete, If you have a rank 3 essence on another character you just have to earn rank 1 to get rank 3.
    Story wise if fine because you did something to earn that and is not a chore as usually essence are to earn.
