Ion's mostly right about covenants. Posted: 09 Apr 2020 02:50 PM PDT The best version of Shadowlands is definitely the one where each covenant provides distinct advantages and disadvantages for different encounters, and the player is heavily incentivized to basically commit to one on each toon. But if they severely screw up that balancing act, it IS really going to suck if switching covenants is very punishing. So I'm fine with the covenant abilities not just being a talent choice. But I don't trust them to keep things sufficiently balanced at all times (because that's an enormous challenge) and I hope they therefore keep the penalty for swapping covenants very mild. submitted by /u/belowbronze [link] [comments]
