I really enjoyed the way Preach's interview was more of a discussion and really hope blizzard allows for more of that in the future.

I know a lot of the time during those Q&A's the streamers or what have you are typically afraid to give any real push back or ask any of the more "hard hitting" or difficult questions for fear of getting black listed.

Finally getting to see a proper discussion where a player was able to voice their concerns and have some back and forth is really refreshing. Preach pretty much just voiced the exact same concerns he's been voicing in his videos during the alpha almost verbatim and we got to hear Ion's answers.

It felt a lot like watching two posters on a forum going back and forth where their answers keep getting longer and longer as they address and add more and more to each others posts.

Even if people may not like the answers we got, its incredibly valuable to be able to get that insight and to see that back and forth instead of the more typical interviews where we get the usual response and then not much if any follow up and we have to hope we get a few crumbs of the real issues we want to see answered.

I really hope they weren't put off by that interview and that we'll see more like it in the future. Was good stuff.

People are confused about why Blizzard makes the choices they do and it's literally been in the lore the whole time

    Posted: 17 Jul 2020 11:09 AM PDT

First off, this has been a long game by Blizzard. Notice there's a Troll raid almost every xpac? Why are Trolls so prominent?

That's because Trolls are the only natural and native race to Azeroth (fulfilling both of those).

Elves are native, but they were mutated by magic which is arguably not natural. Sure magic exists as a fundamental force in the WoW universe, but it comes from so many different sources at once, it's difficult to say that the magic elves mutated with was specifically sourced from Azeroth itself.

The furry races are native as well, but they were either created or guided in their evolution by wild gods (depending on the race) and therefore aren't natural since wild gods themselves have various origins outside of Azeroth.

Orcs and Draenei are both illegal aliens, this speaks for itself and they should be deported.

Goblins were a native species but in their current form are a result of Mimiron's experimentations, so aren't natural.

Humans, dwarves and gnomes are all Titan creations that came from the curse of flesh.

This is why Azeroth is filled with Troll ruins and Troll empires, and why there are all these sentient races but the loa are the most prominent god-like beings on Azeroth.

By trolling the playerbase, Blizzard is actually just being really true to their lore.
