I see a lot of people discussing covenants, but can we please revert the GCD change?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 05:12 AM PDT

I'm a bit disappointed Preach didn't have time to touch on this, but the GCD is still a major issue moving forward into Shadowlands. It's one of the two major issues that will seriously hamper my enjoyment of Shadowlands, the other being covenant concerns. The GCD should not be attached to offensive CDs that do not do damage, not matter how much Ion thinks death strike is somehow similar to the LoTP. If the concern is CD stacking, then we should be looking to fix class design and reducing the amount of CDs available.

Please, Ion. Please, revert all of the GCD changes you implemented in BFA. It does not feel good to play, and it artificially slows down combat for no reason. I realize you asked us to provide specific examples, but it all feels bad. Even on a spec like frost mage, with only one CD. It's a topic that has been beaten to death, but I really hope we see changes here.

During the development of WoD, some female models were shown off with eyebrows that match their hair color. To this day, they have only one static color. Can this please be changed with Shadowlands?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 11:02 AM PDT

Maybe the Void Elf heritage armour "void wings" could be detached from the chest piece in Shadowlands, and instead become a unique back attachment? The high collars just ruin them imo.

Orgrimmar's Portal Room is weird, right?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 11:12 PM PDT

So the longer I use it, the more it just seems odd to me. The placement both aesthetically and lore-wise just seems so out of place. Stormwind's Portal's by comparison are in the Mage Tower, which is just so obvious and logical, I don't get why Orgrimmar's city planners would have been so arbitrary. Is there a technical reason for this placement I missed from the Blizz devs? Does anyone else share this feeling?

Time lost proto bugged out and blizzard is unwilling to help

    Posted: 19 Jul 2020 02:23 AM PDT

Greetings, This is my first post here. My girlfriend and I killed the time lost proto drake and it fell trough the floor which made it unable for us to reach it and loot it. After we conacted blizzard they told us they are unable to help.

    This was the reply.

    Hey there,

This is Game Master Edlortha checking in on you. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us today about your loot issue.

Looking at the ticket, I see that you and your girlfriend both took down the Time-lost Proto-Drake and were unable to loot it. I can totally get where you're coming from and would be happy to look into this for you.

For the Time-Lost Proto-Drake, with the rarity of the mount and how the looting works for eligible players, the mount isnt something the Postmaster can send over if it's not looted since it's intended to be looted right off the corpse. I did take a look over things and see if we could make any exceptions in your case, however I'm afraid that sending the mount over manually to you guys would not be a service we can provide. I know this can be a little discouraging, so I'm sorry we're not able to help out more in this case.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and hitting us up about this. As you are part of the Blizzard family, I want to do my best to make sure all of your questions and issues are addressed. With that being said, if you run into any future issues or have any questions, we're here to help where we can.

    Take care

I think this unfair I already replied them I want a senior GM to look into it but this is really discouraging. We provided screenshots of damage and what happened so we are lost now a lot of time has gone into farming this mount :(

If a system/choice is limited to 1 expansion, it should be freely switchable.

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 02:21 PM PDT

After watching Preach's latest discussion with Ion, it became clear that Blizzard is struggling to find a basis for deciding whether a player choice or "identity" should be dynamically switchable, or much more static/permanent.

Here's a really simple guideline: If the system is limited to the endgame of 1 expansion (e.g. power/progression systems), then it should be easily switchable. If it is something that transcends all expansions (e.g. class/race), it should be static.

My identity as a player is something that persists through all expansions. I have no idea why Ion kept trying to compare choosing a Covenant to choosing your class/race, when we know that Covenants will only be relevant for 1 expac and then scrapped.

Torghast - Old Defeated Bosses Idea

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 11:48 AM PDT

So I was thinking Torghast sounds like a perfect place to re introduce Bosses from Dungeons and Raids throughout WoW's years in a fun new way. They could theme certain floors to whichever soul is trapped there or have a partial boss mechanic to nod back to whichever boss.

    Make class trainers useful again!

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 04:35 PM PDT

How class trainers can become useful and important again.

    1. Have it so some abilities come naturally to us, while others need to be taught.

    2. Have them teach you basic class rotations like the 120 boost does in the beginning. That way if you play a spec you're unfamiliar with you can get an idea of how to do it.

    3. Sell class transmog gear at various levels. Maybe a set every 10 levels (since we're going back to only 60) that gets cooler looking every upgrade.

    4. Class quests that reward exclusive class weapons that will be useful at level but still great for mogging later.

With Shadowlands, this will be the first expansion to funnel players into a single zone since Burning Crusade

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 09:26 AM PDT

EDIT: I forgot about MoP starting both factions in The Jade Forest, I don't think this changes too much.

This could be a potential problem for servers. I'm not currently on beta, but I also think (for the first time ever) horde and alliance will be forced into the same leveling path as well (feel free to correct me). I know servers have come a long way, but even in WoD we saw major problems on servers at the start of the expansion.

Similarly, players should keep in mind how much of a clusterfuck for wpvp this will be.

Anywho, I just wanted to mention this! I hope we might be able to hear from Blizzard how they'll acknowledge this, as I don't think I've seen this even mentioned by anyone before.

Full xp from Legions Assaults at 110-120

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 06:34 PM PDT

This doesn't seem to be common knowledge judging by the amount of people that decline group invitations and party sync, but you can get the full XP from Legion Assaults when you're above level 109.

I tried this with only players above 100, but it seems to work with anyone up to 120. When you're 110-119 and trying to level up, group up and turn on party sync, you'll get ridiculous XP. These give even more than the BFA Assaults do.

    Proof
