Why does Nzoth even bother trying to corrupt us?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 11:57 AM PST

Literally all he would have to do is appear to me and offer me a quest to kill whoever for 10g and I'll complete it no problem. I've done worse for much less. Hell, if he throws in a mount reward I'll personally burn Orgrimmar to the ground myself. This whole corruption business is completely unnecessary.

Really I'm surprised none of these 'bad guys' don't just try bribing us to their side. It'd be extremely effective.

The awful fake Fan ending to BFA where we fight for Stormwind and end up dying, only to wake up in the Shadowlands was a better story-line than what Blizzard actually gave us to end BFA

Is the ending cinematic an out-of-season April Fool's joke?

    Is Blizzard joking? (Angry rant)

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 05:18 PM PST

I am honestly beyond words after seing the last "cinematics".

The Black empire was one of the most important and interesting lore foundations of Warcraft universe that was slowly built up for such a long time! Same goes for the Ny'alotha and Old gods. I don´t think there was another plot with such a rich lore potential which would also be so well cooked into the Warcraft universe as whole. Just from this standpoint, it is clear that if there was one topic that should have its own massive expansion it was exactly this and what did we get?

We got one stupid low effort patch where this super powerful N´Zoth who had hundreds of years to put his schemes into motion finally unleashes Ny'alotha upon Azeroth and can bring forth the return of Black empire just to get quickly and almost effortlessly dispatched by us "HeRoEs" with help of sassy Wrathion who looks so extremely out of place in this patch (Cut content ftw) that I am honestly almost in doubt if this is not some kind of late april fools joke.

Then comes the cherry on top, the final "main" cinematic of the expansion and that is the moment where I finally lost it. Could there be anything more stereotypical, stupid, boring and cringeworthy? N´Zoth has just enough time to say his few generic bad guy lines straight out from your generic B-movie level script with some flavour added and then after 30 seconds it is all over**!!!** Do you see the irony in this?

The Black Empire, N´Zoth, Ny'alotha,... everything that was being slowly built for such a long time is destroyed with ONE patch and one less than minute long poor cinematic? I kinda expected we might at the very least get some neutral ending where N´Zoth lives but must withdraw to try again later but I highly doubt this now...

    Short summary:

8.2. - Azshara one of the biggest characters in the WoW universe finally unveils her cards and puts her plans into motion. She had more than thousand years to prepare everything but whelp we completely destroy her in her own domain which turns out to be just a small underwater cluster few meters under the sea level (What happened to her underwater empire that should have been content for one expansion) without much trouble because we are muh "HeRoEs". All right, at least N´Zoth is free and he can unleash the main part of the plan and bring forth the real stuff, right? RIGHT?

8.3. - Just kill me please...

I almost think that Blizzard is just trying to kill off all the remaining plots in the worst manner possible so they can burry this game or something because otherwise I have no explanation for how can someone come up with something so bad. It feels like a spit to the face of long time fans of this game and universe!

At least the cinematic gave us meme potential

For the love of N'zoth please give us portals to Vale of Eternal Blossoms and Uldum in the Heart Chamber!

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 06:04 AM PST

Please, oh pretty pretty please. It would make traversing the new content so much easier. Of course a portal back to the Heart Chamber in Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms would be appreciated as well!

I think N'zoth should have won.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 11:54 PM PST

I would have loved to see us fail, die, wake up in the Shadowlands, find Sylvansas, fight her, she says she can return us to Azeroth, Imprison/force her or her master to return us to Azeroth, a dead planet that is now nothing but the old gods traipsing about with some resistance pockets here and there, then fight the infection back as an endless army that can constantly return to life, Maybe daddy Illidan returns to help us under the commands of the Titans, or a healed Sargeras, then the Titans bring Azeroth back to life some how? Or we find a new planet with new issues to live on.

I know nothing like this will ever happen? But i think it would be a good way to have a massive Overhaul to WoW or give us a WoW2.

I just wanted more from N'zoth, maybe freeing his Kin from their prisons? Wouldn't that have made sense for him to try to do that? Then we could have had a raid with all three of the Old Gods instead... or an Old god Expansion.

I don't know, i guess i'm just... Sad? And really just wanted to get this off my chest. Also, where the fuck is Khadgar?

    Old Gods: Combat Guide

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 10:10 PM PST

BFA had both the best ingame cinematics of all time and had the worst end-of-xpac-cinematic of all time as well.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 02:04 PM PST

    Was this a joke?

This is how Nzoth ends? The black empire and the old gods were a fucking whole expansion on its own and due to the lack of will of Blizzard to keep working on this game they shat on this hard with the storyline? N'zoth, the great manipulator, being set up in Legion gets defeated without mercy and not even a good cinematic to end his storyline.

Honestly, this makes me lose all the mood in playing.
