The Glyph system should be reworked into a cosmetic talent tree that allows your to tailor your spec to your aesthetic taste.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 11:25 PM PDT

For Elemental Shaman you should be able to specialize cosmetically as a "thunder shaman" or "Earth Shaman" across a range of cosmetic talent choices separate from the dps talent system.

An example of a row for Fire Mage could be the choice of Blue Fire, Red Fire or Smoking Fire as a cosmetic talent row.

    Troll customization Feedback

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 05:18 PM PDT

Greetings everyone! I decided to write this post at the hopes some dev would read at this as a friendly feedback and a wish list that a lot of Troll fans want

To give some more context I was overly hyped after seeing the new customizations after witnessing the new ones that were datamined from some races like the Draenei, Nelves and the new hairstyles for Stormwind Humans (Geralt haircut) but now I feel overly pessimistic at seeing my favorite race, the Trolls got nothing but discarded haircuts from previous expansions and lack of more variety of options for them(like moving the form of the tusks into a different tab).

Some ideas and stuff I would like to see(collected from mmo champion and the WoW US Forum)

    Hairstyles

-I found some old suggestions that I find very well done and wouldn't require much time to develop

    https://i.imgur.com/XrxFGuy.jpg

    https://i.imgur.com/yYc4S0K.jpg

-Some Mohawks hairstyles are what Trolls need with urgency, some examples:

    https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d6/33/46/d6334669c2186fbeac0cf58a2b67e372.jpg

    https://i.imgur.com/EttDcmc.jpg

-For females hairstyles I would like they could add a tropical flower in their hair like the Hibiskus

    https://i.imgur.com/hgS7GrL.jpg

And I hope it's not much to ask but could some hairstyles be revisit?

    https://i.imgur.com/EttDcmc.jpg

    https://i.imgur.com/Jxsn9MK.jpg

-Bonus: This one from Hearthstone which has dreadlocks(seriously Trolls should had got this before the stormwind humans) woud be much more better than the palm tree which I don't see anyone using it aside of memeing

-Also please add black hair as an option like Orcs have now

    https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/015/605/235/large/vladimir-grebnev-rasta.jpg?1548944593

Ear-rings, Tiara(females) and Necklace: On this one I will divide for both male and female

    Females

-The ears could use a serpent shaped ear-rings and would look fantastic with their general motiff:

    https://image-tb.vova.com/image/500_500/filler/d1/46/be87c5da311395d01f45ac387458d146.jpg?format=webp

Other example: Tikis(these has been underused in the latest years)

    https://i.pinimg.com/originals/be/4a/06/be4a06242a6b0569a41aa25794fe7017.jpg

-Tiara for females with a serpent ornament would be very fitting https://66.media.tumblr.com/41bcfa58b9ac898b50521d9efb69eb8a/a5a6460dc3a27e64-87/s1280x1920/1b7bdcb13fe7fbc6e4c4bb4b1bcb5bc8a108ba9a.jpg

Necklace: The one from Moana would look very beautiful in the female trolls and can be dye at many colors which is another adventage:

    https://i.imgur.com/1CGv0BM.jpg

    Males

-Ear-rings: They could use a cobra like: https://i.imgur.com/osrrvIH.jpg

And some tribal ones with bones would be a very good addition: https://i.imgur.com/GErkumV.jpg?1

-Necklaces can vary at many forms as the Darkspear uses a lot of the Polyneasian mythos, some examples like a tikki necklace: https://i.imgur.com/eU87WoE.jpg

And a Makau Nui to name a few: https://i.imgur.com/IV2VZ1u.jpg

    Ear Options

-Elves and Goblins have the option of regulating their ear shape. Trolls have different ear shapes in lore and should have the option for changing them in game as well.

Some examples of different sizes of ears in Trolls:

    https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/wowpedia/e/e2/ZekhanBfACinematic.png

    https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/008/023/108/large/chung-kan-wowx8troll03.jpg?1509989097

    Bonus: Zul'jin's ears in Hots

    https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/heroesofthestorm/images/a/af/Zul%27jin_-_Warlord_of_the_Amani.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170714195111

    Tusk Jewelry

-This should be a separated option from the Tusk shape and that small change would allow for more liberty to customize the faces of our characters.

As an example just check in wowhead how limited are the trolls currently compared to the taures:

    https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/625458765411385384/726163472903176192/unknown.png

More options=Better and more ways to difference the playable characters with each and other

    Beards

-Trolls have been represented with beards for a long time in the official artwork. Several troll characters in-game have sported beards (Rokhan, Sen'jin, Vol'jin, Sul the Sandcrawler). This option should be the first thing available for trolls at this point.

For me, this is an excellent selection of beards that most players would love to see at in-game and offer a lot of uniqueness: https://i.imgur.com/8f9y2Q8.jpg

    Tattoos

-Missing a black color which is, arguably, the most commonly used color in tattoos around the world. Besides they could use a tattoo to represent their Loa they worship

Example of a Loa tattoo(Can change the color of course) https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/694994347501944923/726503148130402435/talnahtattooschwarzsig.jpg

The major adventage is this tattoo can also be shared by the Zandalaris as they share a lot of Loa in their respective pantheon.

    Piercings

Something like this would be welcome in the new customizations and a nice recall from WC3: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/625458765411385384/726165179087454328/unknown.png

I thank to anyone who has read all of this feedback and please feel free to share your seggestions and if some developer read this, I truly appreciate you dedicated some time to this feedback and hope you can communicate this idea to the designer team, lots of troll fans(your servitor included) would truly appreciate it

The new skin and eye colour options for belf and undead got me so excited because I finally get to do a before and after for my undead lock who was a belf and use the appropriate eye and skin colour in game. RP is about to be 10x more fun.

Please let us transmog Legion artifact between spec.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 09:18 AM PDT

Since customization will be a major point of Shadowlands, I think the time has come to remove the restrictions on the transmogrification of Legion artifacts, at this point there are not many reasons to prevent their use between specializations. As a druid i will be able to finally choose which form to use including the Legion ones but it would be amazing if I could have all the forms at my disposal regardless of my spec, so please Blizzard these restrictions are a prison and you need to set us all free.

I know they pop up when casting the racial but I want to feel blessed by Naaru 24/7,
I'd even settle for just the blue version of the existing Lightforged ones, please.

My Undead "Paladin": Garreth the Faithful - By Alena

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 03:45 AM PDT

I really wish there was more chunky cloth boots, rather than all the slippers.

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 07:17 PM PDT

For so long I've been wanting to do robe less outfits for my cloth users, but with the skin slippers that are the default for nearly every cloth boot just makes it impossible to make one that I like. I know there is a few around but they are lack luster and limiting in styles.

With blizzard starting to make more and more sets have a robeless version, I would love for them to make the boots more visually interesting and have some mass to them. Currently from what we've been able to datamine only the Necrolord ones have much of anything going for them, the Castle ones look strange due to having the pointed toe but still just a skin tight slipper.

I really hope that more is added to them and more cloth boots in the future get some love, I know we're still early in development but this has been a plight for me for a long time.

I Made a Simple Light-weight Chat Filtering Addon with Full Pattern Matching

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 12:20 PM PDT

    https://github.com/cxmplex/EasyFilter/releases/tag/1

You can find the source code and the addon release there :)

Essentially, it supports any Lua pattern matching. Let's say you see lots of trade posts for boosting.

    You could add something like:

    /ef add mythic.{0,25}boost

Which would find the words "mythic" and "boost" within 25 characters of each other.

Let's say you want to block all boosting services, a good one is to add these two:

    /ef add gold.{0,15}only /ef add only.{0,15}gold

Lua doesn't support OR groups like (gold only|only gold)

You can read more about Lua patterns here:

    https://www.lua.org/pil/20.2.html

When you create a filter, it's saved locally as a saved variable. You can find this in your EasyFilter saved variable file in WTF. Next update I'll add a way to remove entries.

    Todo:

    • Add a way to remove entries.
    • Configure which channels to filter.
    • Add to curseforge
    • Add more pre-set filters (boosting, gold sites, etc)

The addon is functional but only halfway done currrently. You can see the source on github :)

I'll build up a list of "default filters" for gold selling sites / advertisers, but for right now there is only one.

I have some other addons on my Github but they are for private server / unlocked lua, so they won't be useful for the majority.

How hard could it possibly be to catch the moonkin bots farming irondocks?

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 02:29 PM PDT

I had a garrison quest send one of my alts out here, and I noticed a nearly endless stream of druids entering and exiting the instance. The longer I watch, the more painfully obvious it is that the majority of them are bots. I suspect probably less than 10% of the stream of druids are legitimate, it was just that a smaller subset of them had apparently not even tried to hide what they were doing.

The obvious ones in question follow a VERY consistent pattern of teleporting in using druid teleport, doing a 180 instant turn to face the instance, walking a very exact amount forward, stopping at the same spot, and then running into the instance. If I'd only seen one do it, I might have not even noticed it, with as many druids are entering and exiting, but it's like 20% of what is probably one hundred different druids come and gone from the start of this post until now.

Even if all you did was have a minimum wage intern check the instance now and then, and flag suspicious players, locking them out of irondocks, it would go a long way. The odds that a legitimate player is boosting a druid, and then doing nothing but irondocks is so infinitesimally small that high false positives would be fine.

That's something I don't understand in general, why is Blizzard restricting itself to ONLY these ineffectual ban waves? Set low thresholds on whatever their automated process is, and have those low thresholds restrict accounts in ways that cut into the financial incentive to do the thing that they are doing. Identified a potential bot, but you're not sure enough to ban them? Lock them out of that instance they've been resetting for the last 15 hours. Automated process notices that they've been herbing for 16 hours straight? Disable their ability to herb. In each case, flag them for human review, get a minimum wage worker to sort it out. Would some players get impacted by this? Yes, but it would be balanced out considerably by the net benefit of bots not destroying the game's markets.

What class do you think has the best mix of good themes and fun gameplay?

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:56 AM PDT

Hey there, I'm currently looking to swap off of my main of demon hunter because it's really hard to get into the fantasy of them while doing anything not related to hunting demons, I enjoy being able to immerse myself into my character and the abilities reflecting that well, which I think demon hunter does a pretty good job of.

Death Knights are kind of hard because while the theme is amazing and the gameplay does a really good job of conveying it, its just genuinely not fun being so slow in PvE content, which is really saddening because if they were a bit faster they'd be my #1 choice.
