For all that BFA got wrong, Drustvar is one of the best zones in WoW’s history! Definitely a high point of this expansion

It's not perfect, but I tried my hand at crocheting a hearthstone!

Despite liking BFA, the fact that the difference in the HC and M Nyalotha leather set is 3 tentacles on the shoulders is the high standard that tier sets died for, makes me unbelievably sad

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 02:07 PM PST

I mean, I understand that 8.3 must have been done hastily, atleast to some extent. And despite that fact I still enjoy its content thoroughly. And honestly, should we exclude the (very) bumpy start of BFA, I have found it to be atleast somewhat enjoyable to the extent of actively playing for most of it. However, a major criticism shared by a decent amount of players was the quality of the raid armor sets. Uldir's sets where all dissapointing, and IMO the same applies to TEP sets. However, in all tiers minus Nyalotha, it simply is a fact that the mythic armors are a huge visual upgrade compared to their non mythic counterparts. Enter Nyalotha.

edit : yeah the teeth is also different, I legitimately missed that, but I dont think it really makes a huge difference, if say, we compare to how vastly different sets where in WOD and Legion

In case you missed it, mythic is on the left, and heroic on the right. I didnt bother taking a screenshot of the other parts, BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CHANGES. The entire different between the non mythic and mythic NYA set, is three tentacles and a hint of smoke.

This is even more disappointing, since artistic freedom to properly integrate better looking and more unique armor was cited as a reason to move away from class sets.

Despite any shortcomings, this is actually my biggest let down in BFA. I just want my class sets back.

Blizzard, can you stop with giving players rental powers?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 03:34 PM PST

    Artifacts, Azerite, Essences, Corruption.

All these powers came for an expansion and then got taken away with a few "player-favorite" traits implemented into the classes' core, and leaving us with the feeling of bland class depth.

They replace one another, buy the feeling of "class complexity" but sometimes (especially in BFA and 8.2/8.3) they are so powerful, that it makes me feel like im playing not my class, but the rental power Blizzard gave me for two years.

Can we just get, i dont know, the big pool of talents, PvE/PvP/Legendary/Essences/Corruptions combined, like, 80+ talents for each class that could be unlocked 1 per level?

Then the player can choose the set of ~10 talents they pick from the unlocked pool. On the cap they will get full variety of PvP/PvE combinations they can use for PvE and PvP content.

Someone would say about balance, but its essentially the same pool we have now, but combined, without split on PvP and PvE. Tune the numbers and we will be fine. Class balance isnt perfect anyway.

Just stop giving us toys and then taking them from us and replacing with another (as practice tells - way worse) toys.

Mage Tower really gave you a reason to level every class

    Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:10 AM PST

Towards the back-half of Legion, Mage Tower was a fantastic incentive for leveling alts. The appearances were all fantastic, and since they were time-gated, it really motivated you to get it done before the end of the expansion.

It was a great way to try out every class to feel what you wanted to main for the next expansion.

I know we're not getting an 8.3.5 but it would be really nice if something like the Mage Tower was brought in.

As a returning player, essences have completely demotivated me

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 11:17 AM PST

I recently picked up after leaving since patch 8.1 and finding out that essences are behind time gated (and sometimes outdated) content is completely absurd to me.

Gear? Not an issue, either you can find a guild or spend a couple weeks on doing M+ or even PvP.

Neck Levels? Not an issue, catch up to 75 is fairly easy now.

Legendary back levels? You will be behind but its still somewhat ok.

but Essences?? Do this outdated content for a month or do pvp for a month or kill this old boss for a month...

Imagine if you are a new player and you come back and have to:

Farm your neck levels to 75, farm your back levels, get gear with close to good corruptions, get gear with close to good talents and farm repetitive and outdated content for 1 month - at best- for your essences.

Who the hell wants to wait around for a month in order to start playing the game?

P.S : Also, understanding how to the BFA story content goes, makes absolutely no sense either but that's another story.

Edit: All those that are saying that 20-30 days is an acceptable grind, fair enough, just remember that i am "whining" that i can't join YOU to increase the pool for M+, PVP or even mythic raiding. It is ridiculous to say that they are not needed, when you already know that the general population of the players are extremely picky adding min/max-ed players to their groups.

It's not about getting baby fed progress, it's about timekeeping. I wouldn't mind knowing that something can be grinded in 60 hours but not 30min PER DAY for 30 days.

    Mount collecting and apathy

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 06:55 PM PST

I have most of the rare drops mounts save a few that refuse to drop, I just wonder if anyone else who collects mounts thinks the same thing.

I already have a set mount I have used on each character for a while so most of the ones I am collecting are just for +1 to a total that doesn't really mean anything. I literally never use the rewards mounts from collecting anyway.

But this expac seems to have added more 0.5% drops than before, which seems like nothing but to string collectors on for longer when they are just recolours.

The story of WoW leading into shadowlands.

    Posted: 02 Feb 2020 02:53 AM PST

Previously, the old Warchief Thrall Vol'jin was at the end of their reign, and decided to name Garrosh Hellscream Sylvanas Windrunner as the new leader of the Horde, despite the unease and distrust of the other leaders of the Warchief's choice.

With Deathwing's Sargeras's menace ended, Warchief Garrosh Hellscream Sylvanas Windrunner seized the opportunity to strike at the Alliance and expand the Horde's territory on Kalimdor. His Her assault completely obliterated the human city of Theramore Night Elf city of Teldrassil causing worldwide violence between the factions to erupt anew. A destructive naval skirmish left Alliance and Horde forces washed ashore on the fog-shrouded island of Pandaria islands of Kul'Tiras/Zandalar, which had appeared in the open sea, defying modern maps and charts.

As both warring factions established footholds on the resource-rich continent, they made contact with the noble pandaren trolls/humans, one of its most prolific peoples. This ancient race worked with the Alliance and Horde in the hopes of dispersing the Sha collecting the Azerite: roused from beneath Pandaria Azeroth by the bloody conflict.

A series of inner conflicts of Horde leadership began anew. The new Horde leader killed almost killed the Tauren leader Cairne Baine, and the brave revolutionary Vol'jin Saurfang was nearly killed by assassins sent by the Warchief after he felt their reign was becoming tyrannical.

Eventually the Warchief Garrosh's Sylvanas's inner plans became known, as he she planned to turn the Horde into her own personal army with no care for any other race or creed within it. Before he she could be brought to justice, he she fled into another dimension hoping to seek refuge while simultaneously finding the personal army they were always looking for.

The Alliance and the Horde put down their weapons for the time being, and seek to journey into the portal after the ex-warchief and put his her reign to and end.
