I am absolutely heartbroken that we will likely never see a warcraft movie sequel.

    Posted: 02 May 2020 07:03 PM PDT

Just watched warcraft today and oh my god i loved it. The orcs were amazing and the best part of the movie. I was really excited after to see when the next could come so i could see what happens to the orc child. Loe and behold, the first google result is the director saying its probably never going to happen. Game of thrones and lord of the rings are cool but i want me some orc action. Real orcs. And no one does orc better than blizzard.

Who else is saddened by this? Makes me wonder if we will ever see orcs in film again (and not lotr creepy goblin looking orcs)

I WAS PLAYING WoW one day, when the dialogue decided to screw up the text box size. Here I thought this was a t-rated game.

What if the inns/buildings in main cities had little mini games you could play against other people?

    Posted: 03 May 2020 01:07 AM PDT

You know how in club penguin you could walk into the ski lodge or arcade and play a quick 1-2 min game of connect 4 or mancala? There's so many cool and cozy looking buildings and rooms around boralus. What if you could walk in and sit down at one of the tables and have someone come sit down next to you and play a similar style of mini game? Or just have a game board thing similar to the portal in the heart forge for visions that you click and adds you to a queue. I'm sure there's probably some sort of copyright on straight up using the same game as those others, but I'm sure blizzard could come up with a fun and quirky kind of game to play, sort of like they did with pet battles. Im thinking like hearthstone-esque, but with it's own little small UI and only takes a min to finish a game, sort of like how the tortollan emmisary quests look like. It would be fun to just relax and grind some casual games of mancala in the hour of free time I have before raid or something like that.

They could even add some sort of calendar community server wide event. Like you could plop down 1k gold or something and get put in a some sort of tourney for that specific mini game. They could add rewards like a tabard or title for winning a tournament. Or they could even add a kind of ranked play that tracks everyones wins/losses on that specific server. I feel like theres a ton of possibilities.

I just think it could be a cool way to make all the cool buildings/design/art more engaging in the cities. Maybe instead of having everyone AFK outside the inn, people would be inside the inn or surrounding buildings with the different games playing them. I feel like it would certainly create a sense of community, especially if there was a kind of ranked play, since you would start to face the same person over and over again while grinding rating.

I dont know that much about coding/game design, but I feel like it would not take a significant amount of effort to implement something like this and keep it updated. Then again, if it's going to costs us a raid tier.....just forget what I said.

In restrospect, what was the point of "Before the storm"?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 01:45 PM PDT

I found myself today randomly staring at bookshelf and looking at my copy of before the storm and wondering what the actual fuck the entire point of that book was.

The whole thing with calia menthil, anduin, sylvanas...every single plot strand had very little to do with BFA or anything in shadowlands, inner monologues that turned out to be complete bullshit by the time 8.3 rolled over.

I remember thinking it was a very decent book before BFA, because i assumed it dealt with important things that would matter later on.
